High Viscosity Hydroxypropyl Guar Gum , Low Water Insoluble
Guar gum is a source of stability, high purification of
galactomannan, galactose and mannose by 1:2 composition ratio. The
relative molecular mass is between the hundreds of thousands to
millions. Aqueous solution because of its special rheological
properties, so it has a very wide range of USES, one of the most
important purposes is used as a thickening agent in oil drilling.
Hydroxypropyl guar gum has higher hydrophilicity and lower
water-insoluble compared normal guar gum. Molecular branching
degree increased, the water soluble speed and low hydration
temperature, thickening ability, heat stability, resistance to
biodegradation, the mass fraction of residue than guar gel breaking
residue after quality scores are much lower, diverting capacity,
anti-corrosion storage has improved. Therefore, HPG is better than
other plants containing galactomannan gum derivatives. Its’
viscosity increased in the alkaline solution, especially suitable
for high temperature deep well fracturing, both at home and abroad
has been ignored for a certain scale of application and research.

Hydroxypropyl guar gum is made by chemical modification of guar gum
as a new kind of low damage fracturing fluid thickener. It has high
viscosity, low residue, good water solubility, low moisture and
water insolubles, small damage of sandstone reservoir, rheology
easy to be controled, easy flowback from strata characteristics in
the oil field fracturing. It is mainly used for oilfield water gas
well water-based fracturing fluid in hydraulic fracturing
operations and pre-fluid in acidizing treatment. It is the
necessary product in high temperature deep well and fracturing of
low permeability oil and gas layer thickening.
Hydroxypropyl guar gum is a kind of low damage fracturing fluid and
fracturing fluid is 30 degrees Celsius -- 150 degrees c fracturing
of low permeability oilfield reservoir. It is widely used in oil
